Accor’s Tribe brand has opened its second property in Paris, located in the city’s La Défense business district.
Tribe Paris La Défense has been designed by architect Thierry d’Istria and offers 184 rooms with amenities including the brand’s signature bed, TVs equipped with Chromecast, rain showers, Kevin Murphy toiletries and a Nespresso machine.
The property’s social spaces include a coffee shop and co-working space, offering Australian-inspired cuisine, which transforms into the Byron Bar at night, with low-alcohol cocktails created in collaboration with mixologist Matthias Giroud.
There is also a 24-hour grab-and-go shop which sells local products, a buffet breakfast for guests, a plant-filled terrace, and a fitness centre.
The hotel is located on Rue de l’Abreuvoir, a ten-minute walk from the Esplanade de la Défense metro. Paris CDG and Orly airports are also 30 km from the property.
The brand has an existing 79-room hotel in the French capital, located in the Batignolles neighborhood, which marked the brand’s first European property when it opened in 2020.
Accor acquired Australian hotel group Mantra in 2018, and with it a sole existing hotel in Perth under the Tribe name. The decision was made to roll out the brand as a four-star midscale offering.
Tribe plans to open 50 properties worldwide within the next five years, with openings in destinations including Bali, Phnom Penh, Budapest, Belo Horizonte, Warsaw, Manchester, Riga and Milan.
A property recently opened within the ‘Gare du Nord’ project in Amsterdam-North.
The UK will also see new Tribe properties in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool and Chester.
