Jetblue’s Boston-London Gatwick service was set to launch on July 19 with Boston-London Heathrow following on August 22.
But now the Gatwick flight’s launch has been postponed until August 4 with Heathrow putting back to September 20.
Both delayed launches will inconvenience thousands of customers at what is the busiest season for transatlantic travel.
Jetblue blames “unexpected production delays” at manufacturer Airbus. These routes were scheduled to be rostered for two long-range A321 LRs.
As is standard airline practice, those customers booked on the affected flights will either be offered a full refund or else an alternative routing via Jetblue’s New York JFK hub.
